Baby-wearing for preemie....?

Our little one will be coming home at about 5 lbs (maybe less). Our baby carrier is only good down to 8 lbs. 
I’d love to be able to wear her, because she loves to snuggle and naps really well while upright. What have other mamas done for their preemies? Should I look into a wrap or something else?

I have no advice to offer but wanted to say I started using my MobyWrap a pound early 😂 My son came home at 5 lbs also and by his one month appointment he had broken the 7 lbs mark so I started wearing him around the house because it’s so hard not to! Before that I would just pick a movie every afternoon and let him nap on my chest while I watched it

I use a Moby wrap as well. Her Dr said with her being so tiny (5.9 lbs) a typical carrier won't offer the required head support. She said as long as she gets that and I support her correctly, the poundage limit doesn't necessarily apply.  With a wrap, I can move it around and get her the support she needs. She loves it!!

This is the one I used. My son was 5lbs when he came home. It goes up to 40 so even at 22 months, he still fits in it. I got it from Burlington coat factory

I used a ring sling with my 6 pounder even though the weight limit was 8 pounds. I would recommend getting a sling that has the 3 stripes of color to help you identify what "rail" to tighten. Mine is solid color & it's a little difficult to know where to tighten at the rings. I'm still learning...YouTube has helped a lot.

My son came home at 4 1/2lbs and I used the moby wrap with him. I also have a buckle one that I use now but he was way to small for that for a little bit. They grow so fast. You may only wear him 1 or 2 times before he hits the recommended weight.
