FTM pump for one bottle question

A

Lo is 3 weeks old. I’ve tried to pump maybe six or seven times, and I swear anytime I pump she ends up cluster feeding and fussing the rest of the day (I assume bc there is no milk for her!!!) I usually pump both breasts for 15 min AFTER the first morning feed to ensure she ate to satisfaction first. I tried doing it midday once and that was a disaster-I only got 2oz and my lo was upset for like six hours after that....

I don’t have this problem if I use the Hakka in the middle of the night on the opposite breast - when she’s had a long sleep. (Which makes sense bc she’s not able to drink everything that’s in there, and the Hakka pulls off a bit less so I’m not fully emptied, and she usually goes back to sleep after).

I am currently demand feeding and

I don’t plan to pump a large supply at this point. But would like to be able to pump for 1-2 bottles for my husband to support feeding and/or to be able to go out for longer than 2h if I want to, or get extra sleep when family is over to help...

Any tips? Am i doing it wrong? I don’t want to pump after every feed bc I don’t want to have massive oversupply. Also it takes a long time. I have no frame of reference to even know if I’m making enough milk...🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ thanks in advance for your thoughts!!!
