can i coconut oil as lube?

i’ve heard from a lot of ppl that it’s a rly good alternative but i’ve heard from others that it throws off the pH of ur vagina and stuff. it seems pretty safe to me but i just wanted to check in w/ some ppl on here and see what they think.

Any oil lube will throw off your natural Ph. Silicon and water based could also do that too depending on their other ingredients.

Only use coconut oil as lube when masturbating, not while having sex because it can cause the condom to break.

It’s great lube. Coconut oil is antibacterial so it can help clear infections and balance your ph (it worked for me, I can’t speak for others). However if you’re going to use it, you can only use organic, unrefined, cold pressed coconut oil. Anything else may cause irritation or a reaction because other ingredients may have been added. And don’t use oil if you use condoms, as it will break them down, and you don’t want that.
