Rock and play?

So i was just informed by a friend that all rock and plays are being recalled.  I received one from my friends for my baby shower, they didn’t keep the receipt and they paid in cash.  I don’t just want to throw it out, as it was almost 80$.  What do i do? Are any of you getting rid of yours, what’s your opinions on the fisher price recall?

They're getting recalled because people are not following instructions. There is nothing unsafe with using then while baby is awake or baby is sleeping and you're there to monitor. I'm definitely still going to use mine.

I’m keeping mine 🤷‍♀️. My son takes his naps in it and he is always watched when he’s in it. It specially states on the product to stop using when baby can roll or lift themselves up and to not leave them unattended. Plus there are straps for a reason. These kind of recalls make me made because it’s user error, not the actual product that is deadly.

I wasn’t going to return mine but after reading more into it I’m going to. My LO didn’t like his and either did I. I always felt like he couldn’t breathe in it. We used it for 2 days before the recall happened lol

I think it’s still okay to use as long as your little one is never in it unsupervised

Just buckle the baby an keep your eye on the baby my daughter used one for about 5to 6months in it. N she's 2years now

On the Mattel website there are instructions of what parts to send in to process a refund or a credit (depending on how long you’ve owned it)

I just got one too. Im keeping it. Just make sure to always supervise when they're in it and strap them in.
