Sex really help you go into labor?

Semen is supposed to soften? Or thin? your cervix. I forget... but the semen is the key. Orgasms can cause contractions sometimes too! Not necessarily labor contractions, but maybe contractions that’ll jump start real ones.

Sex (semen) is similar to having a sweep because it releases the same prostaglandins. My midwife said it’s worth a try

We gave it a go this morning and now I’ve been having mild contractions allllll day... I’m 39w on Monday..

My doc told me it would only be beneficial if you are already in early labor. He said there are characteristics in semen that are present in the drugs they use when inducing labor, it’s worth a shot to try if you aren’t too uncomfortable!!!
