Flying At 34 Weeks?

Question

Turns out, my fiancé and I may have to be doing some traveling right when I’m around 34 weeks. 
I know a lot of airlines have restrictions, and it’s usually left up to the OB to clear it. But, I was just wondering the likelihood of me being able to fly around this time?
I’ve had a good pregnancy, only problems have been my baby being very small and me being borderline anemic.

Ask your OB. We were told the cut off is 36 weeks and that’s only with a healthy pregnancy and should still get permission first. We were also told to make sure to bring paper copies of medical records anywhere we go in case anything were to happen and we had to go to a hospital while traveling or god forbid I go into labor!!

I’m flying at 33 weeks and my OB said it was fine. I have gestational diabetes and prehypertension by my numbers have been good up to now so she’s OK with me flying. It’s a 4 hr flight for me. She told me to drink lots of water and walk around as much as I can in the plane.

Some airlines will require a doctors note from your ob okaying you to fly. I would also ask for medical records just to have with you. It’s definitely scary to go anywhere so far along but talk to your OB and listen to your body. Good luck!

Just talked to my OD about traveling in the third trimester and she said not after 32 weeks. But I will be doing a 12 hour car ride. Best bet is talk to your OD and see what they say. Good luck! 😊
