I’m pretty sure that would have just pissed my daughter off to have to smell milk (rotten milk at that) all night knowing she didn’t have direct access to her actual milk. Can you imagine waking up to someone cooking your favorite meal in the middle of the night and telling you that you can’t have any?

I think it’s working 🤷🏻‍♀️ he had a rough night where he was up from 3-5, slept 5:30-7:00, then cat naps until 11:15. But from then til now (2:45) he’s been asleep with them next to him. Not sure if it’s to catch up from last night or if they actually work, but will test again tonight and see!

Never tried this. My little one has a routine now it’s bed between 10-11pm. I always make sure before I take her to bedroom it’s set up with everything I need, good temperature and a bedside light on at opposite side of room and white noise on. 
I take her to bedroom when she’s asleep and put her in Moses basket she’ll be 12 weeks on Monday been doing this a good few weeks now. She sleeps until 5/6am straight through! Very rarely fully wakes up just stirs but gets herself back to sleep. It does mean more feeds throughout the day but it works for us both. 
She also started teething at 2 months so I’m aware it may well get interrupted in weeks to come due to it. 
My main thing is routine, even if time does slightly alter. I do the same things every night. My husband works late most of the time and the one time he didn’t do this routine, we suffered a terrible night!

I've done this and put a burp cloth that I've kept in my bra next to him as he slept. Works like a charm, sleeps so much longer if he can smell me/milk.

Never tried that but I did try keeping his favorite toy in my bra and giving it to him at bedtime. Did not help one bit
