Why do people RSVP and not show up ! 🤬

So upset my shower was today we had over 40 people confirmed but only less then 20 showed, I’m so upset. None when I mean none of my friends that had rsvp’d showed ! Only my best of friends did! It was so awkward cause I kept waiting hoping that people would show 😔 guess no one cares...../  I had fun but it wasn’t worth all my hard work and money.

That is why I am only doing a family baby shower. When my sisters asked me for the list of people to invite, it was just my family and my husbands. And 1 friend. Because all my son needs in his life will be our families! So sorry you had that happen to you. People are rude.

I’m scared of this! My baby shower is this Saturday and we have of 70 ppl rsvp and we are coming from out of town - a 7 hour drive. People haven’t been that responsive in our baby shower FB group so I’m nervous as to if that many people will actually show

Dont feel bad hun. You still looked gorgeous and the people who truly matter showed up. I know some people who literally nobody showed up at all and they spent hundreds on food and decorations. It really is shitty of people to RSVP and not show. I don't understand some people.

People are so rude sometimes. We had 2 people not show up - one was sick and the other never bothered to let me know. Fine. That person will not be invited to other events again.

That happen to me with a few friends, it sucks. They should just say the can’t or have the decency to inform you so you can start the party

This is why I only invited people I knew would show. I invited maybe 5-6 more that were indeed busy or out of town but made an effort to see us some other time or sent a gift. It does hurt your feelings and when people do that it’s rude!! I tried to avoid that all together. I’m sorry 😞 that sucks. I hope your shower went amazing without them!! ❤️

2 pregnancies ago this had happened to me. They invited everyone that she and I knew and all that showed was me my hubby, her, her daughter, and her friend. My last pregnancy i just told people if they wanted to get baby something when asked what i needed anything. I still ended up doing on my own and preparing for our baby, so this one I thought I was ganna have a friend bbq then looked back and said nope not going through that embarrassment again. So I have slowly but surely bought things baby needs, now all I need is a few clothes, newborn diapers, and maybe a bassinet, I'll probably grab some formula just incase that I cant breast feed again.
Sometimes you think you have friends and then you realize you really dont.
