Moms with boys - are you going to circumsize?

Just curious. I don't want to know why you are or aren't. My hubby and I are just undecided and having a hard time agreeing so I wanted to see how many people are vs aren't.

I have two boys and didn’t it’s there bodies I believe they should be able to make that choice when older

Twin boys on the way, we are not doing it. My husband is not, we are in the US. I'm a pediatric nurse, and haven't seen a lot of serious issues either way, but more odd healing issues as time goes on with surgery than without.

My SO and I are on the fence. I dont want any additional procedures done if they are unnecessary. He wants to have our son get it done. I have been going through articles that say the advantages of being circumcised are minimal at best. Most european countries (and Canada) dont recommend it routinely. It was started here for cultural/spiritual reasons. It helps reduce rates of uti's in the first year of life. However, the rates of males getting a UTI is rare as it is. Removal of the foreskin reduces sensitivity to the penis. The foreskin also helps reduce friction to the glans penis. There are pro's and con's to it much like everything else. Just make your decisions on medical facts instead of what someone tells you on a forum or in public.

We are since hubby is. I was worried he would think something is wrong with his privates if they didnt look like his daddys. Also we have family members on both sides with diabetes and an uncle had diabetes and had to be circumcised at 60 years old because of it which was a lot more painful and memorable than at the newborn stage. So the whole diabeted thing worried me

Our little boy will be circumcised. Coming from the health care field as a nurse I have seen more issues with UTI/bladder infection/kidney infection with uncircumcised and the men needing to be circumcised later down the road. Getting circumcised as an adult would be worse.

If this is a boy yes. I work at a daycare and have seen more issues with uncircumcised than not. Plus my husband is very much for it and I feel like he should get a choice in the matter.

I left the decision to husband, and he wanted to circumcise our twin boys, so we did. If this is a boy I'm having, he will be circumcised as well.

We will be if it's a boy. My hubby is and feels strongly about it. We won't be telling some family members cause it's a big issue apparently.
I have never heard a cut guy say they were mad their parents made that decision for them.
