Error with digital ovulation test

If this journey to Motherhood wasn't bad enough and already not stressful enough ladies let me tell you what happened, I took an ovulation test last night before I went to sleep and was shown that I wasn't ovulating first thing this morning with taking the Clearblue Advanced Digital ovulation test it automatically says I'm in my peak. The little happy face popped up first thing this morning and I was completely stunned because there was no build-up and with the advanced ovulation test it's supposed to show you at least three results one being just a regular Circle, two being a flashing happy face so you know that you're coming into your fertile window and just a happy face to let you know that you're at your Peak. That happy face made me so angry LOL because I knew something had to have been off. I went and took a regular Dollar Tree brand ovulation test and it came back no surge detected I went to the store and bought another Advanced Digital ovulation test and immediately took that one in the store bathroom which came back showing no surge. Fast forward meeting up with some family for dinner tonight I stop by my house to see if that little :-) had went away since it's been hours and to my surprise even hours after I took the stick out of the device that little :-) is still sitting there which lets me know that there's an error with this particular tester. my question is have any of you ladies had this happen to you? I was so frantic and trying to figure out how I was going to try to work in getting some baby batter and just stressing myself out over everything and thankfully I had the frame of mind to retest not only a second but a third time because this could have really thrown off my calendars and all my numbers with inaccurate information. I understand nothing is 100% absolutely perfect all the time but this particular digital test I just bought 3 days ago. So I just want to know if any of you ladies may have used or used but would never try again due to this kind of stuff happening.
