Can you go into labor without losing your mucus plug?

I am currently 37 weeks 2 days and I’ve been having stomach aches and back aches. Just curious if y’all have gone into labor without losing your mucus plug before?

Yes with my first I never noticed loss of plug or my water breaking 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’ll be 38 weeks tomorrow and haven’t lost my mucous plug yet. I’ve been getting cramping for weeks now

Yes I did with my first and my mum never noticeably lost it with her 4 kids

yes .. with my second I was in strong labour before I lost mine i also had bloody show at same time as losing it

Yes. There’s no particular order that labor follows. Plenty of people have contractions first then lose mucus plug
