What age did you offer milk other than breast milk?

Other than in food, what age did you offer other milk in a sippy cup? Did start a little before a year or wait until after a year. We’re continuing to breastfeed after a year but she’ll have cow’s milk during the day too since she’s in daycare. Curious what other moms have done.

Or pediatrician said no other milk until a year. Why couldn’t she have breast milk or formula at daycare?

Before 1 you’d give formula. After 1 they’d only need milk once,maybe twice a day so just water while at child care would be fine.

I started letting my daughter taste milk around 7 months. She’s 11 months now. I nursed for the first 7-8 months, my milk dried with this pregnancy so we switched to formula. I still just let her taste it - cpl sips here and there, or a bites of my cereal, transitioning from formula should be fairly easy.

I have a decent stash of breastmilk so I’m going to keep using that for sippy cups during the day after a year then once I run out I’ll try other milks
