Silly question but need advice

We have a family reunion to attend in June. Our nugget will be roughly a month old then depending on when she makes her appearance. My husband will be out of town for work. I’m planning on going to this reunion because I don’t get to see this side of the family very often.

I believe the reunion will be outside. Do I need to have a pack n play or would I be okay with just a thick blanket to lay on the ground for baby girl to lay on so she doesn’t have to be in her seat or held the entire time? (Obviously I would be right next to her). We have a big sports umbrella thing that we got for my older bonuskids sports, so I’ll be bringing that along for shade.

Sorry this is such a dumb question but this is my first biological child and my bonuskids were 5 and 7 when they came to live with us so I’m a little uncertain about the newborn stage.
