Tricks to menstrual cup insertion?

If I get a proper seal I LOVE the cup. But I have such a hard time getting the seal to the point where insertion is such a pain I almost prefer tampons. I’ve tried the “C” fold and always have trouble with it unfolding. I’ve had more luck with the punch down fold but I still struggle sometimes. Anyone have any tips?

I use the punch down fold... I insert it, then run my finger around the rim. After I feel it open I use the side of my finger pressed against the side of the cup to rotate it to make sure it turns easy (which means its fully expanded). I've never had luck turning it by grabbing the base. After it turns easy I run my finger around the rim again to make sure my cervix isn't hanging out. If it is even a tiny bit it will leak. 
Best thing to start with is relax, if your muscles are tense down there it will be much harder to open. After you are calm and relaxed realize it is a learning curve but so worth the effort once you have figured it out! You will figure out what works best for you as you practice, don't give up! I takes me less then a minute now to take it out clean and put it back in perfectly. It took several months of practice to get there but I'm so glad I stuck with it!
Also something to consider is if you have the right cup for you. Sometimes a cup thats too firm or soft will be harder to get to open. Also if its the right size for you.
I personally just got a Saalt cup and I'm in LOVE with it already! It's so much more comfortable and easy to use then the Diva cup I had before! I can't even feel it! They have 2 sizes and if your flow is light to normal I would recommend the small. The company says it's the best for new cup users! I have the regular size and it opens so easy!

This happens sometimes of a cup isnt firm enough for your body. Which cup is this? You probably just need a firm cup!
