Will you circumcise your son?

Expecting my 1st son, so just want to know what mommies go with.

We’re having our third son. None of ours will be circumcised. Our oldest is about to turn 9 and we haven’t ever had an issue with it. We just feel like we don’t want to to permanently remove something from their bodies, their bodies are fine how they are. And yes hubby is circumcised but doesn’t see why it’s useful. 🤷‍♀️

I let my husband make this choice. I don’t have a penis, so I feel like I don’t get a say. After a lot of research and conversation, he has decided that he wants to get it done. He feels the benefits outweigh the risks. Definitely took him awhile to make that choice, though.

We had our first little boy a week ago and decided to have it done. He did great and is already healed. It’s a bit nerve wrecking making that decision and worrying about pain, but it’s much like labor in my mind, he won’t remember.

I’ve done some research and the only con to not circumcising that concerned me is that they will have many issues when they’re older and if a man chooses to do the procedure it won’t heal as well as when they’re babies so it could lead to discomfort. This is also my first son and that’s just what I’ve read up on many others might have another opinion but I’m circumcising him!

I waited until my son was 6 months so he could be put under for it. I got to be in the room for it literally was the fastest most painless looking thing ever. I will probably let them do it in the hospital this time..HOWEVER I’ve been getting a lot of judgement for it, honestly to me that’s something between parents and the kid there’s reason to have it done and there are reasons to not have it done. A lot of people argue it’s really not medically necessary if you just teach them how to wash their penis but boys are gross especially when they go through puberty I raised my little brother and in my experience it doesn’t matter how good they know how to wash there is always going to be half assing somewhere down the line 🤷🏼‍♀️.   I also don’t have a penis so I am biased so dad had the final say but whatever you decide it doesn’t matter :) they’re both good for their own reasons

Watched it done on my first two boys. They slept through it. Friend’s husband had to have it done as an adult. Stitches all around the penis and pain by the nerve endings developed. He was so mad at his mom for not doing it at birth. For me, the slight benefits outweigh the risks, and I probably read 400 scholarly journal articles to help me decide.

If I was having him alone, I might. Just because I dodnt know it was really an option. 
But dad is not and I'm not an expert in that area. So i let him make the call. And we are not. No other reason lol just dad said no

We was unable to get my first sons done due to he was born 3 weeks early and said he didn’t have enough fore skin. Said they would re-evaluate at 2 months then told us we would have to wait till he’s a year old. So we never got his done. But we are expecting baby boy #2 and we are trying to decide if we want to get his done as I’m not getting induced this time. 38 weeks.
