Update 👶🏻

Update to my post like a month ago!

So I doubt anyone would remember, but I made a post asking for advice on gender disappointment. I really wanted a boy and was scared I’d get a girl and be upset about it.

BUT

I got my anatomy scan recently and I’m having a girl!

When the tech told me, I didn’t have a negative reaction at all! I was honestly just so speechless at what my body was doing. I thought it was so incredible. I’ve really come to terms with her, and knowing the gender has been such a huge help in feeling connected. We bought a couple clothing items and now I’m so excited! My fiancé gets so emotional when he sees those little dresses. 💜

I thought I wanted the name to be Anastasia, but once I saw her on the ultrasound, my mind just told me “no. Lydia fits better”. So we agreed on Lydia Marlene. Marlene was my grandmother’s name. I was so close to her and her death rocked my whole world.

We can’t wait to meet you, my darling!
