TOO MUCH DISCRIMINATION🙄❗️

I will start off by saying I am a mixed girl and I have lived in both predominantly white and predominantly black areas. So I’ve pretty much seen it all. I know how hard it is for black people, Hispanics as well as mixed people. For so long of my life, I sided with minorities ofcourse because those are my people after all but I’m so upset because it’s coming to a point where I can’t do that anymore. I can’t side with them anymore. In the beginning of the Embracing Black People movement, it was all different types of black people as well as whoever were the allies. Now, black people are the ones who are doing the most discrimination. White people arent allowed anymore. Hispanics aren’t allowed anymore. Light skins aren’t allowed anymore. And biracial people aren’t allowed anymore unless we agree with the dark complexioned people on everything which is not realistic and sometimes, is taken too far. I feel bad that I can’t side with my people anymore, but I just can’t. I hate being called “privileged” because I’m pretty sure privileged people don’t live in neighborhoods like mine, get dirty looks from white people and get called “nigger” although I’m clearly mixed. What a lot of black people don’t get though is that , white racists don’t care. They don’t care if you’re a light white pale bright , if you’re black or have a drop of black in you, then you’re a N-word. So all the extra discrimination is, actually, in fact, coming from black people and I’m sick of it. And every time I try to point it out like “why can’t all black people get along at least for the sake of our freedom” my “Privilege iS sTaRtiNg tO sHoW” 🙄

Like privilege where? If you see it, can you please hand it to me because I’d love to have it. Im so sick of it and it hurts being rejected by your own people because of your skin colour and your parents’ choice AKA THINGS WE CANNOT CONTROL. Thought that was one of the points of black acceptance but I guess not anymore.

Yup. As a black person who has lived in both black and white areas, the black community is definitly the most racist and discrimminatory BY FAR.

I've tried posting something along these lines before and because I'm white and was getting bullied by black people they didn't care. They said and I quote no one care about anything you've gone through because you're white. I've heard it all the time. My struggles, my physically/mentally abusive family, being around drugs and alcohol as a child, being bullied in school by a group of black girls, me being in foster care. It apparently doesn't matter because I'm white and have some sort of privilege. I've had black women I was friends with say that they wouldn't care if a white person was shot by the police but they would if it was a black person. Everyone is allowed to stick up for themselves but white people. I've never been racist and I get mad when people are but me being threatened, belittled, sexualized, bullied, and called all sorts of names merely because I'm white is bullshit just like it is when someone does it to a black person. Nothing about that is ok in any form. Everyone matters and it's 2019 we all need to respect each other and see each other as what we are human beings.

Lol 🙄 you really don't understand what darker skin black people has to go through. Lighter skin do get more privilege. I mean light skin mixed black people. You see the way black men talk about dark skin women calling them roaches? Then saying they prefer lighter skin women. There's plenty more instances but I'm not going to sit here and explain. Yes white people all see us the same and call us the N word too. No I don't believe black people are more discriminatory and racist. Like hello the KKK is still out there. Black people and other poc still have to put up with racism to this day.

well for one, I didn't say that dark-skinned women are roaches. I said that most women who are called that it is irregardless of their skin color, it is about their personality traits and their behavior. or because people are just being mean kind of like what you're doing... But like you said whatever 🤦

So she can call dark skin women roaches. But I guess if it was the other way around but hey I'm not surprised.

I thought I was the only one!!! I am Creole and in an interracial relationship, I have lighter skin tone and my husband is Caucasian and we receive more discrimination from the black community than anyone else!!! And it's not just discrimination it's also a lot of disrespect, when we walk through the stores in White communities I'm not gawked at and no one points or looks at us and our kids(they have skin like their father and hair like mine)funny, but if we go into a black community store we are hounded and it is just ridiculous.

I don't take sides, I think that's stupid but there is a huge problem in the black community and I think that posting this will help other people who are like me and my family who don't want to beconstantly harassed just because I have a husband who is white and I am light skinned.

I think this is ridiculous. Just seeing all these comments like “oh my god right black people are the worst” really just sets in the fact you’re not only wrong but encouraging the division you claim to be worried about.

I agree and im not black. But i have 5 step kids who are and every time is see violence by someone of their race i have to say thats not how you behave thats what keeps the problem's alive talk it out work it out and move on. You dont need to beat anyones ass to make them hear you use your voice. I tell them be better for your race be smarter bolder go to school to learn not to fight. And don't be blind by the lies people tell you in school. You are better then that make something of your self or im going to have to identify your body at the morgue. I have 2 out of the 5 that do right. But the other three man oh man they just want to act like the streets are raising them. I got one ditching class to go sleep in the auditorium and swiping laptop's i got one beating people on the bus and forcing her bus mates to lie to me and the other is a master manipulator and a liar. Btw all three lie and steal and put their hands on me. like what the hell we teach you not to do this yall are going to go to jail and just be another mark in the book. Cut that shit out is all i tell them.

Once you’re mixed with w/ black you automatically are labeled “black”. Doesn’t matter what you’re mixed with. And us black people don’t have time for wishy washy people, you can’t side with us one day and then the next realize we’re going in so hard; so you say forget it. We’ve been abused, used, named called, etc for years and still going. If you can’t understand that then you’re definitely not for the movement.

I’m just going to speak my view .. so as a pro black female , the reason why the black community has become so “harsh” is because we are tired of everyone not only stealing from us but painting us out to be a stereotype . I’ve lived in white and black areas , but I prefer my people over anyone else. It’s not discrimination, it’s just us trying to hold onto our roots before they are washed away by biracials , Mexicans , whites , etc .. White people have always been “proud” , but the moment a person of color becomes “proud” it’s discrimination . You’re biracial. You have your own sub-group. Stay with them , simply because your struggles are entirely different than mine .. The only thing I’ve heard that mixed people struggle with is “not being accepted” , y’all literally have your own community , why are you trying to identify with something you’re HALF of . The moment a black man or women pro creates with a white man or woman or someone of a different race , the child is no longer “black” . You can identify as that for your entire life , but you aren’t one . 🤷🏾‍♀️ Me personally I would never water down my egg 🥚.

Yeah just because it’s 2019 doesn’t mean things have gotten better. Only worse. Everyone hates everyone now. Sooner or later it’s gonna be short vs tall people. And black haired vs brown. Square chinned vs pointed. It’s only gonna her worse

One of the worst bullies in my school is black. I don’t hate her because she’s black, I hate her because she’s a bully. Don’t be a bully if you don’t want me to hate you.Okay that seemed kind of rude 😅. I guess my point is that I try to treat people based on their actions, not this they cannot control like their race. If you act like a spoiled brat and bully me and my friends, I will hate you, regardless of race.
