Suddenly doesn’t like binky

My 4 month old has loved his binky since birth, but now all a sudden he doesn’t care for it. The weird thing is he still needs to suck in order to be soothed so he likes sucking on my finger (I offer him the breast when he’s fussy but he usually isn’t hungry and just wants to suck) I really want to break this habit since obviously fingers aren’t the cleanest or always accessible (I clean my hands before doing this) he does occasionally chew on my finger as well but 90% of the time he wants to suck, again no binky pleases him. Thoughts? Advice?
