Anyone dealing with SPD?

Question

Is anyone dealing with SPD (Symphysis pubis dysfunction)? Mine started about 2 weeks ago ~28 weeks and is unbearable now. I meantioned it to my dr at the last visit but she acted like it can be normal and theres not a lot to do for it. I am planning on working until 36.5 weeks delivering at 37 and am chasing a 2 year old around.
 How are you coping? Anything reduce the pain?

I ended up in a wheelchair with my 1st, crutches with my second and now I’m 31 weeks and it started about 22 weeks. My midwife doesn’t seem bothered by it but she’s not the one in pain! Walking and keeping moving helps with mine but now at my 29 week scan they discovered I have placenta previa so can’t do much at the moment. I intend to work to 38 weeks though all being well

I think I have this, but they're saying that it's just back pain and it's totally normal. 
When I walk, I always have pain coming from my pelvis... is this SPD?

Had it with my first and it was unbearable.  I wore a belt, but it didn't help much.  Just suffered through the last 4-6wks.  Good news was it went away right after birth.  Being that yours has kicked in pretty early, I would definitely see a physical therapist because I've heard it makes it manageable.  I'm 33+3 with my second and hoping mine doesn't come back😬

Yep, saw a physio today and she gave me a few exercises to help strengthen my pelvis, glute and abdominal muscles. She also said working on my pelvic floor muscles will help it. I'm hoping to get clearance from my Dr to start pilates as that will help strengthen things too ☺️

I have it. It actually helps me to workout. Squeezing a ball between your knees and doing squats helps so much, even though it sounds awful.

Apparently it's pretty rare (definitely not as common as this app would make you think) and it sucks. I haven't found anything that relieves it other than not moving or taking little steps when walking. Sorry you're suffering too!
