IUD placement 6w pp?

Question

Has anyone had an IUD placed at their 6 week postpartum checkup? I had an emergency c section almost 3 weeks ago. My doctor said we could go ahead and insert the IUD at my 6 week checkup. 
Just wondering if everyone could drop their experiences below!

I got the Mirina IUD 6 weeks PP. It took them 5 times to insert it because my cervix was so closed that they had to dialate me to get it to work. It was very painful, lots of pressure on the cervix, just like labor pains but once it's inserted, you cramp for a day or 2 but then it's fine. I have not had a period since getting it. Only light spotting for about 2 weeks after and then no more issues. I want more kids in the future, but idk if I'll do the IUD again. I also have endometriosis, which is why the Dr prescribed it for BC, but it isn't fun to get or to have removed apparently. However, it's working for me now, thankfully.

I got the Paraguard at mine and love it! Was a little uncomfortable but not painful to get inserted. Then I spotted for a couple days and haven’t had a single symptom since! It’s amazing :)

I did with my first and it stopped my periods completely and I had no trouble with it I loved it

I got the Paraguard at my 6 week appointment. I got it out just two months later. The experience was terrible. It was painful the whole time. Sex was traumatizing for me and my fiancé (he could feel it even after having the string trimmed short and it felt like he was shoving something up into me) 
I bled a lot. Like through my clothes a lot. For about six days. After coming off the IUD and birth control entirely I have a three day period start to finish naturally. 
Birth control is good but there many many side effects to all of it. Make sure you do some independent research and ask your DR tough questions before settling on one.
