After many many searches to find a local, in-network, over 35-friendly, water- friendly, vbac-friendly birth center, i came across Lovers Lane. 😀😀😀 thanks to Lindsey Edison of the City Moms Blog for her experience, as well as the What To Expect form for Dallas Parents that had exactly what i was looking for. The receptionist Stacy was so nice and most importantly made me feel like a regular pregnant woman. Over 35, autoimmune disease, previous c-section 🤦🏽‍♀️😭 ... but she assured me if the dr thinks it's not a good idea she'll let me know and I'm ok with that. I REALLY want to avoid being in so much pain after another c-section. I didn't get to hold my baby first 😭, i had to wait what seemed like an eternity to hold him and even though we bonded through nursing and he's my biggest supporter - i want that first skin-to-skin experience i was created to have .... if it's possible. Being over 35 is NOT the new 60 so I'm glad I'll be treated like a regular, imperfect, pregnant woman 🤰🏽🙆🏽‍♀️.
