Nexplanon insertion, possible complications?

I got my Nexplanon placed 22 hours ago but it is in extreme constant pain and hot to the touch. Everything during the insertion felt fine. I hadn't looked at it till I took this picture.

Is it bad? Should I go back and see what's going on? Or should i wait to take the purple bandage off and see what the actual insertion site looks like? Help please!

Mine was super bruised and hurt a little but it was never that red or was hot to the touch. I would definitely get it checked.

I'd go back to the doctor, it isn't supposed to look like that or be hot to the touch. It's just supposed to bruise and be a little sore, that's what my doctor told me anyway.

I look infected. I’d give the dr call and see what they say. This was mine around 6 hours and 24 hours
