For my ladies heartbroken after losing the one who they thought was the one:
I remember one late night talk when my ex said I was “the one”.
I asked him if he’d heard of the phrase “the one you thought was the one” and I asked him, “what if I’m the one you thought was the one?”
He told me that he was sure of us. I had a ring on my finger. Fast forward months later and I’m packing his things and kicking him out of my apartment. He was cheating on me.
I was so broken. I felt like I would never find anyone who would care about me. I felt like love wasn’t real.
Then I encountered the most important person I’d ever meet. Here’s what followed.
