I got my Paragard (copper) IUD in early January. For the two weeks around ovulation, there is a significant amount of pain. It's especially acute with sex from behind. I mean real awful pain, as if my cervix is just taking up the entire space and dropped super low. Was this the case for anybody else early on and if so, will it go away? At what point do I get it checked out? I expect my body is still figuring out what this intruder is. But wow, the pain. The pain at other times is similar to one with a UTI. I haven't had a UTI in at least 15 years but that's the only way I can describe it. Thoughts?
