Contractions 4-5 mins apart should I go in?

They are 4 1/2-5 minutes apart. Not sure if it's real labor contractions though. I'm a first time mom and have no clue what to do

Real labor contractions will continue to get more intense. So if they stay consistent and are coming every 5 minutes or less, last a minute, and have been that way for over an hour you should go in.

The time to go in is when you are having one minute contractions five mins apart for an hour AND they are so intense that you don’t really come out of it between them. That’s when you are in active labour and they want to see you. If you are still able to write to this board to ask that question, it’s way too early. They will send you home.

I went in for contractions 4-5 min apart because that’s what I thought I was supposed to do, but then they sent me home because it was false labor 🙄 they told me don’t come back until contractions are 2 min apart or your water breaks. I’d just wait personally! But you can always call your dr and see if they want you to go ahead and go in.
