When did your baby start consistently STTN?

She’s 11.5 months old and isn’t doing it consistently yet. Some nights she’ll sleep 10+ hours straight, others she’s up 1-2 times

Different people have different definitions of sttn. Most say 6 hour stretches are considered sttn for very young babies. But some don’t consider a child sttn until they can go to bed and not wake until morning (like 10-12 hour stretches) and they’ll say their child isn’t sleeping through the night until toddlerhood because of their difference of definition. Also oftentimes a baby will be sleeping through the night (by whatever definition) and then hit a sleep regression or get sick and regress. 
For us our daughter started sleeping 8 hour stretches once I weaned her nightly feed around 5 months of age. It naturally got later and later until she was waking up around 5 am to eat, and then we dropped it. But around 10 months she started daycare and got sick a bunch and really didn’t sleep through the night again until 14 months. Even now, whenever she has a cold, she wakes up a lot throughout the night, especially if she’s coughing.

At 4 weeks he slept 6 hours straight which I consider sleeping through the night since he wakes up the same time I need to get up lol. He’s 3 months now and will sleep anywhere from 6-8 hours through the night. We didn’t really do anything special. It just happened. It was really scary the first time it happened. We had to check to make sure he was breathing because we were used to him waking up every couple of hours.

My son is 3. Every once in a while, I still have to get up like 3 times throughout the night with him. Lol. Motherhood is exhausting. The exhaustion never stops.

It took us 17 long months. We coslept until then and then I was just so tired of it it we did CIO and she’s been sleeping through the night ever since. Sometimes she still wakes but I just leave her for a few minutes and she goes back to sleep

Took my son 16 months lol. Still for a couple months at least once he’d be up in the night. He wouldn’t ever sleep. He’d wake up between 12-2 and be up for 3-4 hours usually. Then he’d still be up at 6/7am. Multiple times a week. It was rough. Didn’t do anything different when he started sleeping through the night completely. He was just one of those kids that didn’t want to sleep.
