Am I wrong to be upset that he’s lying?

Question

Went on my fiancé’s instagram and looked at his search history just because and there was a girl. ( I was cheated on for two years in a past relationship so I just look for peace of mind & curiosity. non of y’all know me personally enough ) 
He swears up and down he didn’t look her up and doesn’t know how it got there even though I’m not an idiot. Such a stupid thing to lie about and he keeps lying and coming up with excuses for it to be there. Like maybe I wouldn’t be so irritated if he didn’t lie to my face over something so small and dumb. 
Yeah I’m aware it seems childish but really? What’s the point about lying over small things this all of the time?
(Blah blah with the “what’s the point of looking”) he looks at mine 24/7 and I just looked out of curiosity. All I am saying is what is the point of lying about looking a girl up, lol. It is irritating when people lie about every little thing because they feel “questioned”.

I get that it’s hard to trust after being cheated on but if you’re snooping for your own peace of mind you shouldn’t be in a relationship. It’s not fair to your partner if they didn’t do anything wrong. He could’ve been looking someone else up and accidentally clicked her name it happens to me all the time.

I wouldnt be mad that he looked up a girl. I would be pissed that he was lying about it and covering it up. As for the people saying not to look, I have 2 opinions. First, my husband and i use each others devices all the time no problem. I would not be pissed if he went on any of my accounts. On the other hand, if you feel like you need to "snoop " there's probably a deeper issue in your relationship.

Sometimes on ig on the search bar it recommends you to add like 20 people he really could’ve accidentally pressed on one of them BY ACCIDENT (cause it’s happened to me)
