3 weeks post c section.. sex?

has anyone had sex this early? I feel ready to have sex with my husband again (obviously take it slow), but I dont see my dr until I'm 6 weeks pp. is it really bad if I were to have sex? I didnt deliver vaginally so I was wondering if it's still necessary to wait 6 weeks? :/

Yes it’s still advised to wait.  You still have an open healing wound from the placenta on top of all the layers of tissue healing from the surgery. I would not do it if I were you till I was cleared. The risks are too great.

I had sex 2 weeks PP and it felt fine. I'm also pretty stupid since I had 2nd degree tears 😅 But I felt no pain! It was only after sex that I had my hunny look down there and see stitches 🙃 We're waiting until they disappear! Do it when you're mentally ready and can relax and take it slow.

I had sex 4 weeks post csection and was fine. A bit uncomfortable at first but got better. I say listen to and trust what your body is saying. Don’t rush it if you don’t feel ready!

I had sex 3 weeks after and was perfectly fine I just think every one is different u could try it if it hurts then stop if u really want to do it. Just take it slow like don’t be getting thrown around the bedroom and that haha x

My surgeon said 4 weeks if I feel ready because I had a tubal. I waited 6w for my last because I didn't have birth control until my 6w appointment. I am ready to go and almost 4 weeks but still bleeding a bit so will have to wait, which sucks! But I don't want to risk a uterine infection.

I’m 5 weeks post csection and wondering the same... I don’t see my dr until AFTER 6 weeks and before I had my baby she did tell me that most people don’t wait the 6 weeks and that if I choose not to wait to wear a condom because the chances of pregnancy are so high (but my csection was also not planned so maybe she was only fine with it if I were to deliver vaginally?). But yeah... I’m feeling healed and have been experiencing a lot of distance with my significant other and thinking maybe some intimacy could help and since I’m 5 weeks that’s close enough 🤷🏻‍♀️

You should wait. Let everything heal. I also have to warn you, we had sex once I got cleared at 6 weeks and it hurt SO bad. I didn't see it coming because it was a C section but apparently estrogen can cause dryness and make it feel like it's burning inside even if you use lube!
