Sitz bath? Worth it?

Question

I had bad hemorrhoids after having my first baby. I’m thinking of getting a sitz bath for after delivering my baby that’s due soon. Are they worth the mess and hassle?

I brought home the one they gave me to use at the hospital and I never used it once I got home

I loved my sitz baths and sat in the tub with one about every other day.
Recently developed hemmoroids and my husband is currently deep cleaning our tub so I can have one 🙂

Not worth it in my case, I only used it twice. Instead I just filled the bath tub and sat in it with Epsom salts. I found this easier and more comfortable. However I had a 4th degree tear and no hemmorhoids. So maybe if hemmorhoids would make it uncomfortable to sit in tub then it may be worthwhile. Definitely at 4 weeks PP I still have a bath/shower every morning and either a quick freshening up or a 15min soothing Epsom bath in the evening every day.
