Neutropenia in teen

So my son is 13. Turning 14 in July. Just diagnosed with neutropenia. I’m wondering if anyone has a child that’s experienced this? Just looking for a friend while waiting on more specialist and more labs. Looks like I’ll be traveling to the best hospital I can find. Not sure how I feel about bone marrow biopsy. Just scared. Thanks
