Natural birth?

Who on here has had natural childbirth in the hospital that doesn’t have a high pain tolerance? Please explain to me how your labor and delivery went?! Im so scared and nervous this is my fist baby.

You can do it! You just have to reframe your thoughts about the experience. Instead of telling yourself that it’s a scary or painful experience, tell yourself that you are strong and that your body was meant for this. I bought a program called hypnobabies and I swear by it. I had a completely unmedicated birth and it was such an empowering experience for me. If I can do it then you can DEFINITELY do it. <3

I wanted to go all natural for mine but got scared as I'm bad with pain and got the epidural. However it came out and no one knew and all the pain came back before I even started pushing. After it was all over I was mad at my self for giving in since I did it without it anyway but still had to put up with back pain for for almost a year after from where they put it in. This time I'm going to do it all natural since I know I can do it now.

I’ve had two babies without pain medication or interventions. The key for me was to stay calm through the contractions, breath slowly and visualize the contractions as a wave with 2 peaks. 
It will hurt, it won’t be fun, but IMO it’s worth it. It helped me to know if I needed pain meds that they were an option. When I reminded myself of that I didn’t feel scared.

I wouldn’t say I have a high pain tolerance and I had my first baby without medication or intervention and it was a beautiful experience! You can totally do it. Watch/listen/read anything by Ina May Gaskin, she is amazing and will convince you that you were made for this. Watch birth videos, get comfortable with the variations of normal and learn the stages of labor so you know what to expect. Get a doula if you can. I have an extremely low pain tolerance but had an all natural birth with my son. 32 hours of unmedicated labor. Definitely the hardest thing I've ever done but so worth it, loved my experience and can't wait to do it again. If I can do it ANYONE can!!!
