Need Advice please help

i’ve been dating this guy for a month and a bit and it’s still kinda awkward between us. he has some family issues which contribute to his awkwardness but i thought we’d be more comfortable together by now.. I don’t wanna break up with him but i just feel like we’re not meant to be it sometimes doesn’t even feel like we’re dating we’re just like pals who kiss every now n then. But still i’m always so happy when his name pops up on my phone and like i wanna be with him but like i said it doesn’t always feel right.. also he’s my first boyfriend and i’m his first girlfriend
