Normal eating?

My boy is eating 6oz every 3-4hrs.. he’s 10 weeks old.. some people look at me like “wow that’s a lot” lol makes me think like am I overfeeding him? He gets 24oz a day. Which is about right.. pediatrician said no more than 32oz a day.

Eh mine changes every day. Last week he was eating 5 Oz every 2 hours and was hannnngry. But this week it’s back to 3-4 usually every two hours. My pedi said as long as he’s not spitting it all up, feed him if he’s hungry. And if he does spit up a lot, cut it back a little

My son is also 10 weeks old and eats 4 oz every 2.5 hours. He eats up to 40 oz a day and my pediatrician said that’s fine, and he probably won’t do more than that anyways. If they’re hungry they’re hungry! If he tries eating again after an hour though I always offer a binky first. But if he refuses, then I give him an extra .5 oz to 1 oz to top him off. He’s growing perfectly fine, never spits up, and sleeps better. So I think every baby is different!
My son is also in the 18th percentile for weight, so I’m really not concerned if he’s eating too much. He’s a growing boy!

Yeah that’s fine because they can eat up to 32oz a day :) doesn’t matter if he’s having larger quantities at his feedings, it’s all balancing out perfectly in the end!

My daughter eats the same 6 oz every 4 hours and at night i breastfeed her. It is normal eating.

We always wondered the same thing. Our baby girl is a little over 8 weeks and routinely takes 5 oz. occasionally 6. She’s always been eating a bit more than we thought normal based on Google, but pediatrician said that it’s tough to overfeed at this age-they would throw up any excess. So we just go with whatever she seems to want.
