First period?? Too early??

Question

I'll be 5 weeks pp Tuesday and have been done bleeding for about four or five days now.
Until bright red blood showed up today.
I'm breastfeeding. Isnt it too early?

For some women you can get it sooner rather than later. That's why I never would use ebf as a birth control form, you never know when you might start ovulating and getting your period again. 
You can also get it and than not have it return fof awhile.

I'm going through the same thing right now. I'm 5 weeks 4 days pp and I stopped bleeding around 3.5-4 weeks pp and the other day I started with the bright red blood and clots. I couldn't believe I was getting my period already and it has come back with a vengeance. Heaviest flow I've ever had. I hope it doesn't last too long.

Im ebf and had mine last week at 6 weeks pp, with my son also got it at 8 weeks pp with ebf.  Some if us just arent so lucky with bf delaying it!
