So this app says I’m in my 2nd trimester which starts at 12 weeks but my doc said 2nd trimester starts at 14 weeks? Any thoughts? Should I trust what my doc says and not the app or vise versa

My doc told me once I start week 13, through the twelfth, my second trimester starts.

I was wondering the same! I thought it started at 13+0, so basically when you go into week 14.

Well 40 divided by 3 is 13.333 if you wanted to be precise. So that would translate to 13 weeks 3 days as the start of the second trimester.

Usually the start of the 2nd trimester is when you begin week 14... from what I’ve read/heard.
