Do citizens have the right to detain undocumented citizens

Question

This is going to be kinda long. So bare with me I’ll have a few questions at the end.

Do you feel the “organization” is within their rights to detain these migrants? 
Should the punishment be harder? 
Would a kidnapping charge be justified? 
What should the legal repercussions be that this group should face? 
Outside of situations like this  do you believe individual citizens have the right to place a “citizens arrest” on undocumented citizens as if acting as ICE agents?

Fuck no. I’d support kidnapping charges too. 
Citizens arrests have their place, but it’s in detaining people in the wake of violent crimes, not for misdemeanor matters like immigration violations.

Hell naw. They’re wreckless, dangerous kidnappers living in a wannabe superhero wild Wild West fantasy. Law enforcement are “trained” to detain and handle situations like this to minimize the chances of people getting hurt and even then there’s been many fatalities. So what make them think some regular degular people with no training can attempt to do this safely?

No! Citizens arrests are legal when a person detains someone actively engaged in a crime, like holding down a burglar or someone assaulting another person, whil waiting dor police to arrive. It is not for border control. These people should be arrested and charged with kidnapping.

No. If you wanna arrest people who aren't citizens.. get a job doing that.. just because you're a citizen of the country doesn't mean you've been deputized to  arrest people who are not citizens.
On another note, back in the day, late 70s/early 80s... When my dad lived close to the Mexican boarder his cousin would act like he was hiring people to do some labor for him and pile these people into the back of his vehicle...and then drive them back to the boarder.. real asshole move.

I read another article claiming that some people were doing the same thing because the immigrants illegally crossing were crossing on/through their private property. Thus trespassing and illegal entry. I wonder exactly how someone should wait for authorities. It’s not like the people illegally crossing are going to stop just because you tell them it’s private property or that they’re breaking the law. They know they’re breaking the law, and then they bring their children with them. What a tough situation.

No, if they want to be able to control the border, they need to apply as border patrol. I think it's great that they want to protect our borders, but it's not their job and they would have no evidence that someone  illegally entered.
