Signs of Yeast Infection

I have not had sex in a bout a month already .. and all of the sudden I am experiencing a burning sensation when I wipe .. so I look down there and I see redness at the opening of my vagina .. I’ve had yeast infections before but I don’t know what was the reason for this time to happen .. my period is in 4 days maybe that has to do with it ??
