Is 20 NB Onesies too much??

Question

My whole family was all small at birth, so I'm expecting my baby to be small too. Around 6-7lbs. 
I have 20 newborn onesies that were given to me from a good friend of mine. (I got A LOT more than 20, keep in mind I've already went through and gave some away and only kept 20) but, my father keeps telling me "you need to get rid of some, you don't need but 5 or 6 in newborn." & "You have too many, you won't use them all". 
Me and the father both have HORRIBLE acid reflux and it pretty much runs in my family as well, so we pretty much expect baby to have it too.. 
My question is, is 20 newborn onesies really too much?! I honestly figured 20 would be just enough.. especially if he has acid reflux, I'll probably be changing him a good bit, when I was a baby I would spit up constantly because of my reflux and would be changed a good bit from getting it all over me.

I would just take the tags off of your favorites (maybe 5-10) and have those washed and ready then when you get an idea of how quickly you will be going through those you can take tags off and wash the rest if needed. That way you can still return them or regift them if you don’t need them all. If they’re already used (like hand me downs) then keep them all and you can still pass them on to someone else later :)

20 sounds perfect. I would keep them. :) you can pack extra in your diaper bag, change when baby gets dirty or has blowouts, or just have choices of what you want baby to wear. No one knows how long your baby will be in newborn💜 I had so many clothes for baby and do not regret it and you can always give them away later if you don’t need them:)

For me yes. We've rarely used the onesies and we have a lot in newborn ones from the shower and we are mostly using the footed sleep n play in newborn sizes and my son will be a month old this weekend

Yes for me. I could have gotten by with just 5. I was so bored those first few weeks that my laundry was done and folded daily and my house was sparkling clean!

I like to have about 6 in each size, so 20 seems like a ton to me! But I do laundry every other day... so 🤷🏻‍♀️ depends on how often you want to do laundry.

I don’t think that’s too much at all, they go through them like crazy, between spitting up & blow outs, I say better to be prepared then run out of clean ones.

It really depends. I had about 12 shared between my twins and just did laundry every couple days. But hey if you have them and it will save on you having to do laundry as often, I’d say keep them!

My son has to be changed 5/6 times a day. That’s too little for ya. We have almost 40 and have used every one of them. 
If you have history of small babies, I’d suggest a package or two of premie. I have to do it too just in case so baby have something that fits well to leave the hospital in.
