Low fluid?? And baby not breathing?!

Question

I went for what was supposed to be my final ultrasound yesterday at 35 weeks and 5 days. Well apparently my fluid is low. They also said my son was not breathing. They told me to drink a gallon of water a day, and I have a repeat ultrasound next week. Anyone experienced this?? 
Also, how much did your babies weight at birth versus final ultrasound?? They told me he was 6 lbs 7 ounces already.

**EDIT TO ADD: They made me do a NST before I left and said that it looked completely normal.

Babies don’t consistently practice breathing while in the uterus. Could have just done the ultrasound at a time when the baby just wasn’t doing the practice breaths🤷‍♀️ as for the low fluid.. that can be a tad scary but doctors tend to know what they are talking about! Just trust yourself if you think you need to go to the doctor or emergency room before your next appointment then go!

Why dont they take the baby out if that's the case ? I'd be really worried... if the baby is over 6 lbs and ur almost 36 weeks I dont see why they dont take him out

With my first, my fluid had almost completely gone away within 2 days. They took her via c section. I was 37 weeks. They did an ultrasound the day after the first. I would talk to the doctor and see if you can get one before a week, to me that’s waiting too long. Good luck I hope all is well with you and baby! Also, the morning before my c section, my daughter was 5lb 2oz in the ultrasound but she was only 4lb 14oz when she was born so it was a little off

Wow wait....they said your baby wasn’t breathing? And told you too go back in a week??? No...seriously you need to be seen by somebody else.. they need too take the baby out by c-section if this is the case.

Babies in utero do not breathe normally. They practice breathing some but they will not actually use their lungs to breathe until they are born.

40 weeks 3 days with my daughter (day before she was born) and they said oh she’s going to be way too big for you to deliver! 9lbs easily! She came and was 7lbs 4 oz 🤦🏽‍♀️

I wouldn’t have left & I would of demanded a 2nd ultrasound or get a second opinion! Because that’s ridiculous... how can they want you to wait a week & your baby isn’t having movement of breathing or whatever it was they got me super FUC*** up !!! Always follow your mom instincts

My SIL has low fluid at about the same point. She went on bed rest and upped her water and everything was fine. Take it easy and get hydrated mama.

With my son my amniotic Fluid was low...I was maybe 32 or 36 weeks, I can’t remember, I had non stress tests weekly and more ultrasounds, within like two weeks my fluids were up and there was no more concern. I was obviously not dangerously low to begin with. I’d just be aware of baby’s movement too, if you notice a decrease in movement then there could be a problem.
