My husband and I live in a rental home that has 1. Bathroom and 2 bedroom. Upstairs you have a bedroom and down stairs you have the kitchen, living room and the bathroom that leads into our master bedroom where we stay.. with that being said my husbands dad has been living with us for a couple weeks and we have 2 dogs a pit pull and a chihuahua and he will watch them when we are at work or have to leave somewhere since he is currently not working. Well the other day we left to work and I thought I had closed the bedroom door because it’s connected to the bathroom well we come home and my father in law says the dogs got into our trash and he was in there cleaning it. My husband and I thought oh shit we forgot to close our door. And forgot about it. Well Sunday morning before my husband and I left to go to Salt Lake until Monday we made sure our bedroom door was closed so the dogs wouldn’t get into the trash. We were supposed to return on Monday but ended up driving 1/2 back last night because it is a 5hr drive back home so we stayed and drove up this morning (Tuesday) and we get home at 7 am and once again my father in law was in our bedroom again because once again “the dogs got into the trash” my dogs are smart but not smart enough to open the door! So now I know for sure the last time they supposedly got into the trash he opened the door. Now the thing is I don’t know why! My husband and I work long hours and our bedroom is our privacy so we leave clothes on the floor all the time including bras and underwear. We also have sex toys in a little box by the bed so I’m very uncomfortable with this and have no idea why it’s happening. Am I overreacting my husband hasn’t really said much about it but my father in law heard me tell my husband “let’s make sure our bedroom door is closed so the dogs don’t get into the trash again” and there’s nothing he could possibly need from our bedroom!
