giving head

hey ladies, im a young teen and today was the first time i gave and received head from my boyfriend. any tips? anything i should watch for? how can i avoid infections and be safe?

edit: i also have a question. if he just ate something, should he not give me oral? or if i just ate something should i not give him head? do i have to pee after he gives me head and vice versa?
