How accurate are the early response pregnancy tests?

So I’m kind of new to this whole thing, so please forgive me if I sound like an amateur. My husband and I had sex on April 9th. I took two early response tests, one on April 22nd (digital) and one on April 24th (line), both negative. I am due to get my period in 4 days. Should I even bother testing then if my period doesn’t come by the 28th?

Depending on when you ovulated its possible that you wouldn't be able to get a positive test. You ovulate about 2 weeks before your period is expected. About a week before your period is due the fertilized egg should implant. You wouldn't get a positive test for another few days if you have high enough hgc levels. Some women get a positive 4 days before their period but some women have to wait 2 months to get it. Every women and every pregnancy is different. I would suggest waiting until your period is due to retest. If its negative wait a few more days. You aren't out until your period comes!!!

I feel like they’re pretty accurate. I actually got a positive with them on 7 DPO, it was an extremely faint positive but it was there. You can either keep testing with them until your missed period or you can just wait until your missed period.
