I had to have 3 awkward conversations today.
You ladies would understand the most so thank god for places like this and people who share common ground.
So today I visited my old job (daycare), it’s been about a year but I wanted to make a donation and visit. In the 2 hours I was there visiting the 3 people asked if I was pregnant or if I had my baby.
I lost my baby in January, I never announced my pregnancy (except for after the loss.)
I gotta say it stung... idk how these old coworkers even knew? I have not spoken to any of them since a couple months after I left well before my pregnancy.
....I had to have 3 awkward conversations today, and I was honest. Even though I was nervous to make someone feel uncomfortable or guilty for asking. Except for one (it was actually a dad picking up his kids) how a father of a kid I watched a year ago knew I was pregnant, is beyond me.
BUT I was honest and I didn’t cry today, I even smiled after.
This loss was an experience and today finally, I felt myself grow from it.
