Possible PCOS and a HSG exam??

I just saw my gynecologist about pelvic pain, nipple pain, and not being able to get pregnant in over two years.

She did blood work to check for PCOS. She also gave me paperwork for my husband to get a semen analysis done and for me to get a HSG.

I’m confused and unsure of what to do. She said she recommended I get the HSG and my husband do the semen analysis, but I asked for the blood work.

She sent prescriptions for the HSG test, but I’m unsure of when to take the medication. I have a very irregular period, as in, haven’t had one in over a year.

Any insight????
