2 month old trouble pooping?

Any ideas on how to help my baby poop? He’s usually pooped at least 3 times by now and hasn’t managed to yet and he’s been really fussy. Doctor said to give him a little prune juice mixed with water but I would rather avoid that.

You can try to stimulate his anus a little. You can use a thermometer to do it. We had to do that with my niece when she was a baby.

My son went through this when he was two months old. We would rub his tummy and give him a bath. That usually helped him. There were times when he wouldn’t poop for a day or two. He didn’t start pooping everyday until he was three months old.

I think it might depend on how long it's been to wether you feel you need to use juice or not. My daughter generally goes 3× a day but every few weeks she'd not go for over 24hrs then bam she'd do a massive blowout.

A bit of coconut oil on a cotton swab to stimulate the anus. 2 month old shouldn’t be getting constipated though. You might get a very full nappy later 😄

Water and prune juice .. why do you want to avoid that??? Its the easiest way a d naturally to help them poop
