If a baby has a runny nose, can they do to a daycare?

My daughter only goes to a gym nursery when i work out. Maybe 9 hours a week, max. She developed a runny nose last night and I’m not sure if I can still take her. She has no fever, plays normal, and is eating regular. It’s a no hands on nursery, so they don’t feed or change diapers

Unless you know it's from cutting a tooth, I'll be blunt, it's a shitty thing to do because it's likely the start of a cold and it'll spread to other kids. If I brought my kid to a daycare and saw another kid with runny nose everywhere, I wouldn't be happy. My kids just got over a cold that started out as a slight runny nose on day 1 and ended up with fever, ear infection and one got bronchitis. Luckily I'm a SAHM, but if I wasn't, that would be a week's worth of work I'd be missing because someone sent their kid to school with a runny nose, gave it to my son, and my 4 kids got it from them. My daughter's first birthday is tomorrow and she can't even eat her cake because her nose is stuffed up and she was up all night with fever. So will they allow it, maybe, but it's not a nice thing to do if your babe is coming down with something and is contagious.

Runny nose doesn't always equal contiguous. My son has allergies from weather. If the color is clear, they shouldn't be contagious. If it's bright green, they are sick and contagious (more than likely).

I work at a daycare center and we have parents bring kids in with runny noses all the time. I could just be allergies. If it’s clear boogies I wouldn’t be too worried about it, but if they’re yellow or green you may wanna get her checked out. Could be a cold or sinus infection.

Sent mine with a runny nose but she had caught it from another kid there.  She didn’t have a fever and didn’t seem bothered by it. I work full time so if I had to keep her home for every sniffle I would run out of time off. If it’s more than a cold I would keep her home

Most places will allow children as long as they're not showing serious discomfort or running a fever. There's a kid at the daycare I work at who has had a runny nose pretty much constantly since last year... But if you think she's coming down with something, it's not super cool to take her somewhere she could get others sick

Yeah sorry but if it's just so that you can work out don't bring her. Stay at home with her and do a home work out if you need to.
