I read these are salmon patches and about 70% of babies have them.  I dint think they are related to anemia

My bub was born with a huge port wine stain ( vascular birthmark ) on the back of her neck. When I was pregnant they found I had such a bad iron deficiency that I had to have a blood transfusion

Later in my pregnancy I was found to be deficient, so my provider said I should take a supplement but maybe I didn’t take enough, And I’m sure there were days I didn’t think to take the pills. Coffee also inhibits the absorption of iron so I had to time drinking my coffee and taking the supplement. Normally actually sip on a cup coffee all day so I couldn’t do that anymore
