Not gaining anymore weight mean labor is near.?

I'm 34+4 I only gained 5 lbs total so far. It was 6lbs total but lost one. I heard that losing weight or not gaining anymore is a sign of labor is near. How true is that? Your experience?

Answer

I had stopped gaining weight weeks before labour. It can be a sign, but it could also just be a "pause", you will gain a bit more, then pause again. Is your Dr. happy with the weight you gained so far? I'm asking because my obgyn wanted me to gain a minimum of 12 Kg (and a maximum of 20).
