So to put it bluntly I had a VERY heavy 3 and a half week period after I had stopped taking my oral birth control in November. I did have a period a month and a half before this most recent period from hell, and it had lasted 2 weeks. This most recent heavy period was really bad and TMI but I was having to use heavy flow tampons (which I have never used before) and had to change it every 3-4 hours. To me that is insane! I tried to call my OBGYN and she is in an office with multiple doctors so when you call the secretaries will send your call back to the doctors assistante. So like normal I left a voicemail for the assistante and told her my issue. After a week went by and still no phone call back I called again and left another voice mail. Once again, I have not gotten a call back. It has only been a week after stopping that monster period and I have started my period once again. I know that I need to figure out what is going on with my body but I feel very discouraged to make the attempt to call another doctor. I feel like no one is going to think that this is an issue because that is exactly what I feel when my OBGYN doesnt call me back. I really just need some words of encouragement right now. Has anyone else had similar issues? If so what was the outcome? No one in my family can relate to what I have been going through so I dont know who to talk to about this.
