My Mom let me know last night that she needs emergency back surgery and cannot make my baby shower (unable to travel).

We can’t move the location or the date. So she will not be attending

I am going to visit her a few weeks prior with my best friend. Any recommendations on a “mini shower” to celebrate with my Mom?

My Mom & I are very close and this breaks my heart. But need her healthy for the baby this July. She’s scheduled to be cleared by the due date to travel.
